Toys ‘R’ Us becomes 100% Canadian-Owned

Hooray, fellow Canadians!

Our favourite toy store, Toys ‘R’ Us has survived bankruptcy in Canada and will continue to operate with no problems.

The company went through eight months of bankruptcy protection but recently, Melanie Teed-Murch, president of Toys ‘R’ Us and Babies ‘R’ Us Canada announced that Toys ‘R’ Us Canada is alive and well despite what is currently happening in the U.S.

The company is now completely Canadian owned with over 4,000 Canadian staff and 82 stores across the country.

The store is currently working on implementing a modern shopping service to attract more millennial parents. They also will take on a different store concept with interactive play area for kids, in-store food-service and birthday parties and more.

Are you surprised that the store has survived bankruptcy in Canada?
