Hint: There might be some Michael Bublé in there.
I don’t know about you but snow has already started to fall around where I live so it’s officially the holiday season.
When I say holiday season, I talk about Christmas and Hanukkah. Even though I’m born Jewish and I practice some Jewish stuff, I also enjoy the magic of Christmas. Think of me as your modern day girl version of Seth Cohen.
So anyways, music is a big part of my life and instead of listening to sad songs all the time due to the snow, I try to cheer myself up with music that will put my mood into happy/cheerful vibes.
#5 – It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas by Michael Bublé
I don’t know about you but this song is makes me feel so happy – but this kind of nostalgic happiness, you know what I mean? Of course, Michael Bublé is the synonym of Christmas music, so you can’t have a limited playlist without the king himself in it.
#4 – Mistletoe by Justin Bieber
This is the song that made me fall in love with Justin Bieber… But do you blame me though? This was the moment when Bieber started to produce actual decent music – a little Christmas acoustic poppy sound was the key ingredient for the Canadian superstar to make everyone fall in love with him.
#3 – The Hanukkah Song by Adam Sandler
A pure Jewish classic. Then again, I think it’s the only Hanukkah song actually.. Oh well, this one definitely gets me into the holiday mood – especially when he sings “instead of one day of presents, we get eight crazy nights” because then I think about the time when I was a kid and would get alllllll kinds of presents. Ahh, what a glorious time!
#2 Last Christmas by Wham!
Ahhhh this songs makes me feel like I’m in one of those Christmas romantic comedies like “Love, Actually” and this is a truly magical feeling. I mean, can you just imagine me hanging out at a coffee shop, writing and drinking a hot coffee when suddenly the love of my life enters? Right? I mean, it’s not gonna happen – but just imagine!
#1 Santa Tell me by Ariana Grande
YES YES YES! Fun fact: I re-started listening to this song in the beginning of November RIGHT when Halloween season was over. Although I love Ari and I’m obsessed with this song, I’m not super in love with her Christmas album but ugh, this song is just so good.
So that’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed my little holiday music selection. If you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!
