Justin Bieber’s ‘One Time’ Is Turning 10 Years Old This Year

And I honestly don’t know how to feel about that…

I’ll always remember the day I first listened to Justin Bieber. I was about 14 years old and was just chilling with my childhood best friend Roxanne on YouTube. At this point in our lives, we had two big obsessions taking all of our time: taking dumb pictures on her dad’s old Mac or keeping tabs on the latest Miley & Mandy Show (remember when Miley Cyrus was making videos with her then BFF Mandy Giroux? – also I completely remembered that without even looking up online – I promise.)

The quality is so bad but the memories are golden.

Anyways, yeah. That’s what we were doing.

So as we were watching another Miley & Mandy video, we stumbled upon that one random video called ‘One Time’ by Justin Bieber. We didn’t know who he was – nobody knew!

We clicked on it and honestly the whole thing was a big joke to us – I mean the song wasn’t good, his voice was so auto-tuned and just the whole video was suuuuch a cliché.

Yet, it already had so many views and people were commenting all over the place on it. So, even if the song wasn’t good, it was attracting people – and it was one of the first of its genre to do so.

So as much as we can laugh at Bieber for his start and whatever he still does that is laughable at, we have to give him credit for the success that he’s received in the last 10 years and still has.

Justin Bieber was one of the first to be discovered through YouTube inspiring thousands of others to create and share their music/videos on the website.

Now let’s all go back down memory lane together and watch ‘One Time’ by Justin Bieber!

After watching this video, two things hit. The nostalgia of listening to the song and just realizing that this was 10 years ago. I can’t believe that 10 years ago I was just a simple little teenager and now I’m a young adult – still listening to Justin Bieber.

Were you a Justin Bieber fan back in the day? Let me know in the comments!
