Rami Malek made sure to thank Roger Taylor, Brian May and Freddie Mercury during his acceptance speech.
What a night for music and movie fans! I’m sure I wasn’t the only one screaming of joy (figure of speech, I wasn’t really screaming but my eyes were just as big as my mouth) when Rami Malek got up on stage to accept his trophy for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.
As much as this will sound bias, I have to say that Malek’s win at the Golden Globes was so well deserved. His contenders were other very talented actors (Bradley Cooper, Willem Dafoe, Lucas Hedges, John David Washington) but then again his portrayal of one of the greatest frontman and singer ever was phenomenal.
And if it wasn’t enough, the movie itself won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama, which apparently surprised some people. I feel like most people assumed that A Star Is Born would steal away the trophy but I guess it only stole the box office, right? *questioning emoji inserted*
Watch Malek’s accepting speech here. as for the accepting speech for the second award won, none were found yet at the moment. Will update the article when one will be released!
